Delicious! Came here on a Thursday morning for brunch- surprisingly busy for a workday! We were able to be seated immediately but may have to wait for a larger group. They have a great menu- sweet and savory. My fiancé and I decided to do both. We got the crab Benedict and the sunrise French toast to split. You get plenty of food so I'm glad we decided to split. The crab Benedict was great and the potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and salted the right amount. The sunrise French toast was a great way to curb our sweet tooth. The fruit was super fresh which I appreciated! I really loved this restaurant and would recommend!

This is our second time eating here but a different location. The first time was at the Walnut Creek restaurant. This one is located in Pleasant Hill. Very good breakfast place with Asian themed favorites mixed with traditional American breakfast. The local Moko was delicious ground beef patty, rice gravy with eggs on top... we also recommend the morning poutine that taste good when the fries straight out of the grill. Also check out their chick pops. It's basically their chicken and waffles cut down into little bite-size pieces. I thought everything was very good and will definitely be coming back plus side is the Service. They are very kind and friendly and fast in taking orders and getting our dishes onto the table. Highly recommended especially if you love these American Asian fusion dishes.

Went here for a friend's bday brunch. We got a seated right away for a party of 3. Surprisingly, it was pretty busy for a Wednesday brunch. We ordered bottomless mimosas which was pretty good for $23 for 60 mins. The flavors they offer are Orange, Peacg, Grapefruit and Raspberry Lemonade. As for our meals, we ordered the Chicken and Waffles, 49ers Benedict, Trio Scramble and Ube pancakes. The food was delicious and came out right away. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Solid brunch spot in the area.

Was meeting some friends from the Elk Grove area and decided to find a middle option between their location and the bay. We ended up finding this spot! I was excited about the photos and numerous reviews. We pulled up around ten am and there was already a fifteen to twenty minute wait. Luckily it went by quickly and we were seated near the door. Space was kind of tight, but we all fit just fine. We were given some menus and a waitress came by to take our order. We started with a couple of different drinks, including the coffee and an espresso martini type of drink. After about 10 minutes, we are ready to place our order and we went with some sweet options as well as three savory options. The portions were very generous, and plated very nicely! I'm not sure I loved my loco moco because it was a bit too sweet but everyone else loved their food. Coffee was strong and everything was flavorful. Waitresses came by every five or ten minutes to check on us. At first I was impressed with their attentiveness but it turns out they prob wanted us to leave because there were groups waiting. We hadn't even finished our food but we caught the hint and packed it all up to go instead. Decently priced and pretty good / fresh. Would recommend if you're ever in the area.

We went in and was sat immediately. The service was amazing. The eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection and the potatoes were to die for crispy on the outside side fluffy on the inside. As for the French toast I wish it was a tad bit more cinnamon. But the fruit was fresh and the toast was buttery and fluffy. 10/10 would recommend. As for the ambiance the tables were a little to close for my liking but that's all made up for with everything else.

The food service was amazing! The ambiance was so calm and chill very welcoming. This was my first time coming I enjoyed myself. Me and my mom came had a wonderful chat the garlic noodles and loco moco was amazing !

Had some important business matters we had to handle yesterday (01/11/2025) and afterwards we decided to go eat. We found The Hangout on Morello Ave in Pleasant Hill. This place was packed busy. At first glance from the outside this place seems to be in a smaller older looking plaza. They do have another location which is in Walnut Creek. They serve Asian Fusion Breakfast and Brunch. The staff were super friendly and helpful to us. They seated us right away and when we asked questions they answered prompt and politely. This place reminds me of the Sweet Maple establishment. They seem to be quite as popular as well. Food came out fast. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Food came out in a generous portion as well. You can tell the dishes were prepared with love. 10/10 would definitely recommend this place. I would also like to try their sister location next time as well. If you are ever in the nearby vicinity you should pop on by and give them a try, I promise you this place will not disappoint. Definitely a hidden gem indeed.

Love the food here at the Hangout! We usually come here for special occasions with our kids. Someone always orders the Chicken and Waffles and the Crispy Chicken Benedict. The chicken is consistently crispy and fried to perfection, I'm pretty sure they use rice flour as the coating on the chicken is much lighter in texture than regular flour. Every plate and every special drink are always beautifully presented. Service is wonderful and fast every time we've come in. Expect a pretty long wait unless you come as soon as they open, there's also a waitlist you can join on yelp, but it isn't always available. It's usually pretty busy during the week, weekends are insane. Now on to the not so awesome-- they charge for refills on regular iced tea and it's something like $6 a glass, which we didn't remember from previous times eating here. The lady behind the counter kept asking my husband if he wanted his iced tea refilled, which he'd accepted as regular brewed iced tea usually has refills everywhere else. To our surprise, when the bill came, he ended up getting charged for each iced tea. I guess you live and learn. Also, be aware there is a 20% gratuity included for parties of 5 or more-- which is totally fair, but unless things have changed since the last time we were in, it doesn't say that anywhere on the receipt; and if you aren't careful it's possible to add gratuity on TOP of the gratuity that's already included. This happened to my daughter and her friends when they came in for a mimosa brunch. Other than that, the food, service and overall ambience of the place is worth it, as long as you're aware of what to look out for.

Oh my goodness. One of my best friends and I decided to come here for our annual post-Christmas reunion today (Friday) at around 9am. Surprisingly enough, no wait. We were seated immediately and given menus + water. It was fairly spacious inside, they also have bar seating available. We both ordered hot chocolate with oat milk to start--which was delicious and definitely has its own distinctive taste (not Swiss Miss). Both our orders came fairly quickly and we were thoroughly impressed. I ordered the Loco Moco with no bell peppers and a side of crispy potatoes. There was so much food! It was absolutely delicious. My favorite part of the Loco Moco was the gravy as it was flavorful and kept reaching for more. The burger patty could have used more seasoning but it was cooked how I wanted it to be. 7/10! The crispy potatoes were perfect. 10/10! Will definitely come back for that. My friend ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry with a side of crispy potatoes. Again, huge portions! The chicken stayed crisp even after soaking in the curry for a while. We were both wondering what batter they used. Overall, come and try out this place in Pleasant Hill! Can't wait to return and try other dishes. Shoutout to the spectacular service!
